Where the Light Rests
Where the Light Rests captures the hush of the Australian bush as the day begins to soften and the last warmth settles across the landscape.
Perched quietly amongst the trees, a lone tawny frogmouth watches from the shadows- still, patient and almost hidden. Around him, layers of warm earth, dusty peach and fading light drift between abstraction and memory, while delicate white linework traces the landscape as though it might disappear at any moment.
It is a painting about stillness and the beauty of simply observing- a quiet place between day and night, where the world slows, the noise falls away, and for just a moment, the light rests.
