When the Bush Whispers
When the Bush Whispers captures the Australian landscape in one of its quieter moods- a place where the smallest sound, movement or flicker of light feels somehow amplified.
A solitary tawny frogmouth sits amongst layers of soft blush, warm earth and vivid pink, quietly watching over the landscape. Delicate white linework emerges through the heavy, sculptural paint like traces of the bush half-seen and half-remembered.
There is a sense that something is being said here, but only softly. A rustle through the trees, the distant call of a bird, the shifting of light before dusk. When the Bush Whispers is about slowing down long enough to notice- the secret conversations of the landscape that are so easily missed when we forget to listen.
