The Smallest Wonder
The Smallest Wonder celebrates the quiet magic found in the tiniest inhabitants of the Australian bush.
A superb fairywren pauses amongst a landscape of warm earth, blush pink and soft cream, its brilliant flashes of blue creating a tiny jewel against the sweeping, textured surroundings. Delicate white linework winds through the painted layers, suggesting branches and native foliage emerging almost like fragments of memory.
There is something extraordinary about such a small creature commanding our attention so completely. The Smallest Wonder is a reminder that beauty doesn't need to be grand or loud- sometimes the most remarkable things are the ones we could so easily pass by.
