The Hidden Sanctuary
The Hidden Sanctuary invites us into a place that feels untouched and almost secret- a quiet pocket of the Australian landscape hidden beneath a canopy of green.
Two white egrets inhabit this secluded world, one resting by the water while the other moves silently through the trees. Deep emeralds and luminous greens create a sense of coolness and shelter, while delicate white linework weaves through the forest like traces of something remembered.
There is a feeling of discovery in the work- the sense of having wandered from the path and stumbled upon somewhere not meant to be found. A place where the outside world disappears, time slows, and nature offers its own kind of refuge.
The Hidden Sanctuary is about those rare places, both real and imagined, where for a little while, nothing else exists.
