THE WINNING POSE

Framed in Black

Oils on Canvas

"The Winning Pose" marks the powerful beginning of my Human vs Wildlife series, a body of work that defines the direction I was destined to take as an artist. It balances realism with surrealism, capturing a moment that feels both familiar and dreamlike. Of all the poses I’ve explored, this was the one that took priority in my mind—a vision driven by a deep need and desire to paint that could not be ignored. This piece speaks for itself and I believe it the first painting I’ve created that fully embodies my personal artistic voice. It is a declaration of style, intent, quirkiness and identity.

TAKE YOUR CHICKEN TO THE BEACH DAY

Framed in Black

Oils on Canvas

This painting marks the first part of a diptych titled Take Your Chicken to the Beach Day. Whimsical in subject yet deliberate in execution, it embraces a lighthearted, quirky spirit that requires no explanation. Featuring a woman holding a chicken and a pool floatie, the composition captures a surreal yet oddly familiar moment that blurs the boundary between the absurd and the everyday. As a continuation of my Human vs Wildlife series, this work reflects the harmony between humans and animals in unexpected contexts. Every element has been carefully considered and placed, infused with the joy, energy, and deep affection I carry for the act of painting. It stands as a celebration of individuality, imagination, and the artistic freedom I have come to embrace in my practice.

DREAMSCAPE- THE FALL OF MAN

Framed in Black

Oils on Canvas

"Dreamscape – The Fall of Man" is a defining expression of my artistic identity, capturing the essence of my style through a surreal, dreamlike composition. In this piece, human and wildlife forms drift together through an expansive sky, suspended in freefall, untethered from reality. Wisps of bright pink seep through the clouds, illuminating the scene with a sense of wonder and quiet intensity. The painting evokes a moment of stillness within motion—a feeling of being weightless. It offers the viewer a sense of freedom, vastness, and pause, as though caught or suspended in the breath between thoughts. This work pays subtle homage to James Gleeson, whose visionary surrealism continues to inspire my exploration of the subconscious and the sublime.
